Reiki is a healing technique based on the Universal Life Energy that surrounds and penetrates all things. Everyone has the capacity to tap into this amazing life force, benefiting from the feelings of well-being, peace and deep love that it generates. Learn this practice to heal yourself and others on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, always working towards the highest good. Bring a lunch.

In the Herbalist's Garden ................... Donna M. Merrill
Donna's medicinal herb garden contains plants from the Native American, Eclectic, European, Chinese and Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine traditions. Featured in the News Journal garden section, her garden is a Backyard Wildlife Habitat certified by the National Wildlife Federation and the Delaware Nature Society. As a complement to her Garden Tour, Donna provides an extensive handout of the plants and their nutritional, medicinal and culinary uses. Wear comfy clothes that you don't mind digging in – there will be plants to share. Bring a lunch, beverage and weather protection.

This next level of Reiki expands and deepens your connection to this wonderful healing energy. You will learn new ways and techniques for using the Reiki energy: strengthen your calling in the healing vibrations of the universe, clarify and balance mental and emotional issues, and learn how to support over distance. Prerequisite: Reiki I. Bring a lunch.

Herbal Medicine Making...................Donna M. Merrill
Have you ever wondered how to make your own Echinacea herbal tincture, or some other tincture from an herb in your garden, cough syrups, herbal honeys for sore throats, ointments for cuts and scratches, massage oils, culinary oils and vinegars? Tired of taking expensive supplements? This class will teach you hands-on how to make these preparations and much more. You will be surprised at how easy it is to make your own medicines. The price of the class includes supplies and remedies to take home. Bring a lunch.

The Plants In Your Life
and how to make the most of them
Summer and Fall 2007
Learn to recognize and utilize the incredible resources available just beyond your doorstep: edible and medicinal plants growing in a chemical-free environment, an abundant source of potent, vitamin-rich food and medicine. You will be surprised at how much Nature has to offer.

On our herb walks we will gather wild edibles to supplement our lunch.
We will end each season with an "herbal feast," an information session followed by the shared creation and joyful partaking in a wild gourmet meal.
